Stripers have been very hot this week, we are nailing them on the DM Minnow by #Daddy Mac Lures and Bill Hurley Rat Tail Lures using 3/4 ounce jig heads. Most shoals and rock areas holding some good fish.
The Sea Bass bite is average size fish until we get into deep 90' holes and then we seem to catch the Knot Heads, which is what we all look for. My sense is next week Buzzards Bay will be seeing Knot Heads being picked at a good pace. We have been fishing Vineyard Sound at this point. Our lure of choice is the 2.8 ounce Deluxe Green Sand Eel by
# DaddyMacLures and some Hi- Lo Rigs w a 6 ounce sinker & squid skirts and a little squid.
The scup being taken aboard have been all good size, up to 16", we use bigger hooks to keep the smaller fish away.
