On April 2, 2020, saw my first osprey picking a herring out of the water for dinner on Great Pond. What does this tell us? It tells us the stripers are not far behind. We as fishermen need to understand as the birds begin to build nests for their eggs and also the herring start running up the rivers to lay eggs. It is getting close to the time we all love and enjoy, its fishing time getting closer. If you have not already started, its time to tune up your reels, reline them and ready them for fishing. Personally, I am looking forward to checking our Captains Blog and seeing the fishing reports from around the region from some of the elite Captains once fishing begins.
